Our Mission: Ending Homelessness Together

At Better Angels, we believe that ending homelessness requires both smart data and the power of community. We don't just provide services; we provide "radical hospitality."

Every Resource Day is an opportunity to practice deep listening and compassion. When we show up, we send a clear message to our neighbors: “Te vemos. You matter.”

The Experience: Resource Day Volunteer Teams

Several times a week, Better Angels hosts pop-up "Resource Days" across LA County. These are vibrant, multicultural events where we serve hundreds of guests with warmth and dignity.
It is an experience our volunteers describe asenergizing, joyful, and deeply meaningful.

How your group can make magic happen:

The Welcome: Greet guests with smiles and open hearts—“Welcome! ¡Bienvenidos!”
The Atmosphere: Set up and decorate the event space to make it feel like home.
The Meal: Cook and serve warm, delicious meals with care.
The Essentials: Distribute clothing, hygiene kits, and donated essentials.
The Connection: Guide guests through services or simply offer kindness and conversation.
The Wrap-Up: Help us pack up the joy to bring to the next neighborhood.

Flexible Options for Every Group

We know every group is unique. Whether you have younger volunteers (under 14) or are looking for a "lighter lift" that still makes a heavy impact, we have options to fit your needs:
Tell us your group size and preferences, and we’ll tailor an experience just for you.

Assembly Parties: Gather to build snack bags or hygiene kits, complete with handwritten notes of encouragement.

Donation Drives: Mobilize your network to collect high-priority items like new socks, shoes, backpacks, and blankets.

Logistics Support: Help sort and deliver donations directly to a Resource Day site.
