I enjoy being part of the community and it’s really important to me to give back, so whenever I can find an effort that fits my schedule, I want to give it a try.  

I’ve had a great experience with Better Angels, to the point where I keep coming back. It’s a part of my life, and I like to share the experiences I have to inspire other people to come out. It’s very welcoming and meeting a like-minded, diverse group of people is a great addition to my community.

Volunteering has been a wonderful experience with a real team spirit. I find that people who do this kind of work and also volunteer, tend to be the highest quality people.(It’s)  an honor to meet them. And many of the homeless neighbors we meet are also very interesting people.

What advice would you share with someone who is just starting to volunteer?If you’re just starting to volunteer, my advice is to have fun while doing it and work honestly towards making a contribution regardless of how small it might seem to you.
